Michelle Manning

My name is Michelle Manning, 18 years old. I study Interior Design at Alfa college in the Netherlands. I’ve chosen this study because I am really interested in styling interiors and I love doing creative things. When I’m home I’m often busy with creative things. When I have an idea I almost can’t stop myself and I will put much time and effort in the project. When I was younger I also loved doing creative things like drawing, painting or tinkering. I always loved drawing when I was at my grandma’s. We chose a nice picture and then we started painting. After visiting this school
for the first time,I knew this was the perfect education for me. During my internship I learned a lot about styling interiors which can make an interior feel a lot more like home by using accessories. I really work very precisely, if I’m not happy about the final result I will continue until the client is happy. I am also very careful with my work, every small detail is important for a good final result. I think the classique and baroque style are really inspiring, but I can work with different styles as well. There are nice things to do with every style because they all have their own beauty. It’s my goal to make an interior special, not just by choosing the easiest way, but something what really fits the clients and what makes them happy. I prefer to make a perspective sketch for an interior because it gives you a nice clear look on how all the things will look together in an animated way. Beside this option I’m able to make a vector works vision (3D vision), mood board, material board or a conceptual idea.
